Canoeing for Teams
Lake Warner
What to Expect
Step into the spirit of exploration with a Voyageur Canoe Experience on Lake Warner, where history, teamwork, and nature come together on the water. Inspired by the large canoes used by French‑Canadian voyageurs during the 18th and 19th centuries, this program invites participants to paddle together in replica voyageur‑style canoes—vessels once essential to trade, travel, and survival across North America’s waterways.
On the calm, scenic waters of Lake Warner, participants must work as a single unit to move the canoe efficiently and gracefully. Success depends on clear communication, shared leadership, rhythm, and trust, making this experience a powerful metaphor for effective teamwork on land and on water. Guided by experienced instructors, the group will learn basic paddling techniques, explore the natural and cultural history of the lake, and reflect on how collaboration and adaptability shape both the voyageur legacy and modern teams.
