Unplug for a few hours and take a rejuvenating stroll through the forest with us. This is a gentle and mindful outdoor experience that will allow you to connect deeply to the healing powers of nature. You will saunter along woodland trails, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds all around you, allowing you to become acquainted with life in the forest. Through bird and tree identification as well as wildlife tracking, you can begin to know our natural world more intimately. Improve your wellbeing with guided meditation, gentle movements and breathing exercises. This practice has been proven to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system and help restore a sense of balance.
The Buffam Brook Community Forest is only the second of its kind in Massachusetts. Owned and managed by the Pelham Conservation Commission, in partnership with Kestrel Land Trust, which holds the perpetual Conservation Restriction on the land, the forest is managed for the educational, recreational, and economic benefit of the community. Your participation in this adventure directly supports the Kestrel Land Trust and their mission to preserve open space and provide access to outdoor recreation.
