Sunderland is in the heart of Western Mass bike culture and from our Adventure East HQ, you can explore picturesque routes along the Connecticut River, visit local farm stands and eateries, and ride along old homestead roads on Mt. Toby.
Your adventure includes specially designed, hand-made, 9-speed bikes that are extremely comfortable for a few hours of scenic riding. We also include a helmet, of course, brightly colored for motorists to easily see, with the additional safety of a flashing light. Once you are outfitted, choose one of our Adventure East curated routes and you're on your way!
$45 for a 3-hour, supported ride which includes: use of our app to find your route, recommendations for points of interest, and roadside assistance if necessary.
This 31-mile ride through the Green River Valley takes you along classic Vermont and Western Mass gravel roads. With incredible views and nearby waterfalls, this ride is not to be missed.
This 59-mile ride traces the Mass Central Rail Trail (MCRT) Right of Way where possible. The first ten miles are nicely groomed stone-dust, in the Wachusett Greenways section of the MCRT inside Rutland State Park.
This 47-mile, touring paced ride will take you on a guided tour of the Connecticut River Valley, starting in Southampton, MA. The ride is largely flat terrain and will pass along beautiful farmland.
This ride is an all-time favorite, with really beautiful stone railroad infrastructure. The course is 51 miles of mostly unpaved rail trail through beautiful countryside.
